How to Kickflip

Stance

You can kickflip more by placing your back foot in front of the tail. This is similar to Ollie.

Your front foot should be just below the bolts on the truck. Your heel will hang off the board and your foot will be pointed slightly. Your toes are what flip the skateboard.

Pop

You can snap an Ollie by pressing down with your back foot on the tail.

Instead of pulling your foot up the board like Ollie, flip outward with your toes. Place your foot in the corner of your board.

Jump up as you lift your board to allow it to spin full-circle.

Flip

Flip the skateboard with the front foot at the top of your Ollie. Your goal is to reach the top corner of your board. To flip the board, use your toes to kick outwards.

You need to be precise about timing and flipping the board. The board should be level in the air to make it easier to catch.

Catch

To do a kickflip, use your back foot to stop it. This is a good idea.

Once you have caught the board with your backfoot, move your front foot towards the board. This should be simple if you kick outwards when flipping the board.

Roll Away & Land

It can be difficult to time a kickflip. You can learn this trick with enough practice.
